Some lace samples
These are what I have been working on - lace samples of
Colinette Tao - colour Fresco:

Hand Maiden Silk Maiden - colour Dragonfly:

and
Fleece Artist Silk Stream - colour Moss:

I chose these particular lace patterns because of their large plain sections that I thought would be a mini-palette for the colours to shine through. They are also all quite easy and easily remembered after a repeat or 2.
I am still working on another one in Colinette Parisienne which is about the softest most delicate shade of green with a little bit of rust as an accent in a slightly more complicated lace pattern but still with lots of plain. I will post it when it is done
Off to the Kingston Sheep Dog Trials on the weekend - to watch my friend Ainslie participate in a sheep to shawl and to watch those amazing dogs. Very COOL!

Beautiful stitch patterns! I was hoping you could tell me where to find the second one, with the Silk Maiden. I have B. Walker's 2nd, but didn't see it there. I'd really like to knit that, I am always looking for ones that show off variegated yarns.
The stitch patterns are all from an Estonian book Pitsilised Koekirjad that I bought from Martina's Bastel & Hobbykiste in Germany
Thanks Robyn! Sounds like I could have a hard time finding that one, though. :-)
Just wanted to tell you that I ordered the book from Martina's! The internet is a wonderful thing. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
